First Working Day After Leaving Trading Floor

Why I left the Coolest Job in Financial Industry?
I know that most of the graduate students who love investment and trading are eager to join an investment bank to be a trader. Traders could have the right/obligation to determine the direction of investment/trading. The trader role could be very creative because we could design and execute such trading strategies to the market.
The financial industry is one of the most ancient and traditional industries in the world. And it has been highly regulated by government authorities. Due to the design of the law system, it is hard to do some creative stuff in Taiwan.

Before joining my former company, I stayed in a startup company. I enjoyed life in that startup. Every team member and founder was in the same boat. The team is filled by the youth generation rather than the traditional financial company. The working attitude is quite different between these two companies. The large company most have some political problems…

Doing an Investment/Trading Career again?
Should I waste my professionals and networks in the investment/trading field? No, I won’t do it. I love to be part of the financial market, even if I’m not in this industry. To be a fund manager of mutual fund or hedge fund was my dream job when I was a kid. I know that it’s weird when a kid tells you he or she wanna be a fund manager.

I really loved the computer science field when I was a junior high school student, and love to build something cool stuff by my hand. Maybe that is inspired by Lego.
